A property-aware carbon neutral events and stays program that helps ITC's sales teams showcase verified sustainability leadership, lower event footprint versus peer benchmarks, and neutralise only the residual emissions through traceable Indian climate projects.
Climes turns ITC's sustainability work into a client-facing sales advantage at the exact moment a company chooses where to host its event.
The program is built as a sales enablement and guest engagement layer. First, the selected ITC property gets credit for verified low-carbon operations. Then, Climes calculates and neutralises the remaining event footprint: travel, F&B, materials, waste, logistics, and any residual venue or stay emissions.
The client sees a fair comparison: conventional premium hotel benchmark versus ITC property-adjusted footprint. The adjustment is not a generic discount. It is tied to certification profile and, later, actual property-level utility data.
ITC property dropdown with LEED Platinum, Zero Carbon and Zero Water badges.
Venue/stay emissions reflect the selected property's verified profile.
Residual footprint is funded through verified India-based climate projects.
Pick the property, enter event size, and show the client how ITC's verified Responsible Luxury profile changes the venue/stay portion of the footprint.
Illustrative proposal model. Final calculation should use ITC approved property-level factors, actual event data and Climes' carbon accounting methodology.
The model keeps the boundaries clean. ITC's sustainability profile can reduce only the venue/stay component. Travel, F&B, materials, waste and logistics are fully counted and neutralised as residual emissions.
| Property profile | Calculator treatment | Client-facing language |
|---|---|---|
| LEED Platinum + LEED Zero Carbon | Venue and stay operational emissions get the strongest property adjustment, subject to certificate validity and boundary review. | Hosted at a low-carbon ITC property; residual event footprint neutralised through Climes. |
| LEED Platinum + LEED Zero Water | Efficiency adjustment from LEED Platinum. Zero Water shown as a stewardship badge unless water-related emissions are inside the boundary. | Lower operational impact plus water stewardship leadership. |
| LEED Platinum only | Conservative efficiency adjustment against a comparable premium hotel benchmark or actual utility data where available. | Hosted at a LEED Platinum property with improved building efficiency. |
| Certification data pending | No adjustment until ITC provides approved certification or utility data. | Standard event footprint mode; still carbon neutral through verified projects. |

The attendee experience makes the invisible visible: guests choose projects across India, see live allocation screens, and the client receives a post-event proof pack.

A curated portfolio of carbon avoidance and removal projects across forestry, waste-to-energy, clean cookstoves, biodiesel, waste handling and biogas.
For ITC, this is not an offset pool. It is a transparent project allocation layer that can be shown to event hosts and attendees.
Once events prove the model, Climes plugs into the ITC booking flow as a one-tap carbon neutral stay option. Guests can add a small contribution, see the approximate footprint, and support a verified project.

ITC shares certification master sheet and property data for 8-12 flagship hotels. Climes configures dropdown and report template.
Sales teams use calculator for live MICE opportunities. Climes supports event reports, voting layer and certificates.
Portfolio rollout, sales enablement, monthly proof pack and co-branded Responsible Luxury impact report.
Climes helps ITC win event business with a stronger sustainability story: reductions first, residual neutralisation second, proof always.
